Echo Productions returns tonight after a five-year pause – a time we used to reflect, ask questions, and reconnect with why we create in the first place.
We return with this truth at the centre: The spark that makes you an artist – the one that first lit you up, that called you toward connection, empathy, and expression – that spark is worth protecting.
Too many artists lose their light navigating a system built on rejection, urgency, scarcity, and impossible expectations. At Echo, we reject that.
We are not here to feed the machine. We are here to rebuild. To reignite. To remind you that you are still an artist.
Even if you stepped away. Even if you’re tired. Even if the system told you no.
This company now exists to offer a space where art can be made for its own sake. Where community matters more than competition. Where your full identity is welcome and your creative soul is safe.
Semi Precious was created in that spirit.
If it resonates with you, we invite you to stay connected. Drop us a line to join our mailing list and keep abreast of upcoming events, community offerings, and more.
Lastly, indie theatre thrives on word-of-mouth! If you enjoy the show, please feel free to take a photo after the performance and/or share your thoughts online, and make sure to tag us on instagram (@echo_productions) or facebook (facebook.com/echotoronto).
Thank you for witnessing this work and supporting indie theatre.
Director’s Note:
Semi-Precious is for those whose bodies remember. For those who have pieced themselves back together and found unexpected strength and empathy in the mending. And for the thought that we can heal ourselves and perform our own emotional alchemy.
Upcoming Workshop:

If you are interested in getting involved with us artistically, we would love to invite you to the first of our series of artistic workshops, “The Subconscious”
This workshop will be centered around taking the rich, vivid, and often bizarre material that our subconscious minds create for us as we sleep, and weaving it into something meaningful. This is an opportunity to build community by working in small groups and creating for creation’s sake. It will take place on Saturday, September 6th at 8:00 pm. Space will be limited to 25 spots – please email victoria.echoproductions@gmail.com to reserve yours before they’re gone!
