Based on an old folk tale, Semi-Precious follows the story of a young woman, engaged to be wed to a man she does not truly love, whose world is swept up and turned upside down by the alluring mystery and darkness of an obsessive admirer. This admirer, a jeweler of great renown, vows to “save” her from her situation, but as true colours are revealed things take a sinister and dangerous turn and she is forced to fight for her reputation, her sanity, and her very life.

ACHILLES & PENTHESILEA
Achilles & Penthesilea is a reimagining of the story of the Trojan War (as told by the poet Smyrnaeus), as a feud between rival wrestling federations (Greece and Troy). The show explores the idea of the figurehead through the character of Penthesilea, who finds herself held up and touted as the “saviour” of Troy, though she has no desire to be anything of the sort. As she struggles to accept the public’s embrace, she finds solace in an unexpected kindred spirit, Achilles, who is one of the few people in the world who can understand her situation. It is a story of love, duty, and betrayal, set on a backdrop of 90s wrestling.
